Below I intend to start adding some useful items and links, the aim was for me to have everything I need to hand in one place.

Feel free to make a suggestion for inclusion.

Thing to know when being on set as a supporting artist.

On-set etiquette is vital to giving a good impression, not only are you representing yourself, but also the agency who got you the booking.

A good example of a professional supporting artist includes being friendly, professional, and following directions.

  • Be professional
  • Be on time
  • Be friendly and easy to work with
  • Listen to the Assistant Directors - This is a must, when the AD is addressing a group (more especially when in large numbers) please be silent so that everyone can hear clearly, get to Costume, Hair & Make (HMU) up as soon as you are told
  • Don't be late or rude
  • Don't take unscheduled breaks
  • Don't leave the set until you're told to wrap

Follow directions

  • Be flexible and reliable
  • Have a knack for following direction
  • If you're unsure where to stand or sit, ask a member of the AD team for guidance

Other tips

  • Don't look at the camera
  • Don't overact
  • Don't bring a friend or family member
  • Let the Assistant Director know if you need medication
